3) Amerigo Hackathorn sights for Glock 17, 19, 26, 22, 23, 27. Orange front sight. Like new, had them on my G19 for two weeks but took them off when I discovered the Vickers sights. $60 shipped.

Why are they charging tax to CA? I called them, they say they only do this to CA - but they have no physical operations in CA. They could not tell me if they actually remit the tax to CA. They are only collecting 6.5%, which isn't even a tax rate in CA.

So, question for you guys. I had a DPMS LR 308 sitting in my safe for a while but had to sell it to rebuild my car. The itch for a semi 308 has remained.

As a recent Comblock convert, I want to find an AK variant 308 and am torn between the Saiga 308 and Vepr 308. Vepr is a heavier duty rifle due to the RPK trunnion and thicker reciever and barrel. Though, its my understanding the Saiga reviever and barrel are thick too.

Mags are moot thanks to csspec. Leaves availability of accessories and furniture as the real difference. Would eventually convert either to a featureless using a monsterman grip magpul/tapco stock, upgraded fore end etc

Lastly, no more Saiga importation due to Obummer ban. Recent news from Arsenal and Molot looks like Vepr importation will resume. Might drive a larger accessory market for the Vepr style rifles.

What say you? Saiga 308 or Vepr 308?

AK purists, please divert your eyes because you will not like this.

I'm considering this a temporary solution until I can figure out something that does not change the look of the folding mechanism at all.

I have been trying to figure out an easy way to fix/pin the folding stock on my Egyptian crutch folders and have never been able to find a good solution. I decided I would trace the lever that engages the pin on a piece of similar thickness steel and cut it out, leaving off the twisted thumb "button". While tracing this out I saw an allen wrench and tried to just push that in where the lever sits and wouldn't you know, it fits, hold the assembly together and eliminates the ability to fold the stock.

What I don't like is that lever no longer extends out of the folding assembly so the original look is not there but like I said, this is a temporary and quick solution for those of us required to fix our folders.

I left the short bend on the allen wrench because it makes it easier to insert and remove but of course you could trim it off or use a drill blank. Any hardened metal rod should work. I notched the allen wrench with a dremel and chainsaw file to keep it in place against the horizontal bar of the crutch folder.

I have another of these and LOVE it, I bought a 2nd for a project that never came together.

On my AR, I can use it to get hits 100% of the time on a 12" gong at 300m. Also very fast up close. These are highly regarded and much better JAPANESE glass than anything that comes close in price. Also, the weight is fantastic. Almost half off MSRP for a brand new scope... and still less than sale price anywhere.

I also have a SWFA S.S.A.L.T. thumbscrew mount (sold new for about 65+ shipping) that I would include for a nice discount if you're interested.... like $200ish for both. You can't get a better scope and mount combo for the proce. Comparing the Japanese weaver to $200 scopes from bushnell/vortex etc is not even fair! Not even the same ballpark as far as glass is concerned.

Keeping the used one for myself and selling the new one, with box, packing materials, warranty card, etc. It's been sitting in my closet top long to return, but it's still brand new.

72 yr old grandma just bought a s&w sd9v

My 72 year old grandma just bought a s&w sd9v, lol. Only thing I know about these is they're a Glock clone. She's able to rack the slide on my Glock 19 no problem.
Granted my "new" recoil spring has around 4-5k rounds on it now. The only problem she had was with loading my magazines, but she was able to do it with my uplula. Is the S&W sd9v a decent pistol?

This pistol is a beauty and appears to have been fired very little if fired at all. It appears the pistol was kept in a holster as there is a shinny wear spot at the muzzle end of the barrel.
