New Firearms Bought- Do Fired Casings Get Sent To NIBID?My Springfield XD9 came with a spent shell casing. Other than showing the new owner that the gun funtions correctly, what else do they do with test casings? Is one sent to the CA ballistics database? If so, does anyone else find this infuriating? Being treated like a potential criminal before I even own the said firearm?
