OC Question: Has anyone gotten their CCW thru Irvine PD?

One way of breaking the backlog/logjam of CCWs issued by the sheriff is by getting the county's cities' PDs to issue CCWs.

Going thru the most conservative cities in OC (http://ift.tt/1TrYP9u), the only PD I saw that mentioned CCWs on their website was Irvine PD.

Has anyone tried applying thru Irvine PD?

If so, how did it go?

What was their GC requirement like?

Are there any illegal requirements (e.g., letters of recommendation from non-family members, employer, etc.)?
