Unexplainable damage

Check this out, come one, come all. See if you can diagnose this damage to my frame because I can't. I thought maybe it was from the slide catch, but the slide catch doesn't come close. Then I considered the magazine may be the culprit, but no. Again, it doesn't make contact.
I figure most people will go the ammo route, only thing fired through this is factory ammo. No hot loads. Something I just considered, I let my cousin disassemble/reassemble my gun last weekend so he could learn how to do it. Under my supervision, could have happened then but I don't think so. I would have noticed.

I first noticed it while looking through the pistol with the slide locked and no magazine inserted, like this.
