I've been looking for jobs in my field in various locations. Arizona has good cost of living and is ranked #1 by Guns and Ammo for being gun-friendly. However the summers sound a bit too intense for me. Oregon and Washington sound much nicer to me weather-wise. However, I'm concerned that more and more anti-gun Californians are moving up to those two states, and are going to do what they did to Colorado. I hear more and more attempted gun laws up there.
How likely is it for the more onerous gun law to get passed in WA or OR? I'm talking about things like AWB, magazine round limits, 10-day waiting periods, handgun rosters. Things like more background checks and lack of CCW reciprocity are less concerning to me, they are more of a nuisance, but the onerous laws are the ones that affect a firearm's function, or affect your ability to buy certain things (10 day wait means effectively you can't buy a gun if a store is too far from you). Thanks.
How safe are Washington and Oregon from "Californication" in gun laws?
