Proof of Residency

So the Mrs. won a shotgun at a barrel race (Weatherby 20 gauge) and we now must get it transferred.

My questions are:

1. Do we now need proof of residency for long guns?

2. If yes, will a DirecTV billing statement that I downloaded and printed from DirecTV.com suffice? Or does it have to be an actual paper statement delivered to my mail box by the USPS? I haven't received a paper bill in years.

I know this seems like a nit picking kind of question but with the idiotic BS we must deal with here I want to seek clarification.
