Big fish or small fish

Can't decide whether to try for big spring home guards or to cast along the kelp for calicos tomorrow morning. I'd likely get skunked going for yellowtail, but there's always the chance I hook into a 30# beast.

Calicos can't resist a 5.5 inch hammer worked through the water column, even in early spring.

What would you choose?
