LCI Delete & Filler Plate - Ruger LC9s and M&P Shield 9mm

Hello all and I am looking to delete the LCI on my LC9s and M&P Shield 9mm as they have been problematic. The LCIs are distracting, they get snagged on holsters/clothing during CCW, if dirty they have cause me failure to feed issues as well as slide lock issues, and the LC9s LCI broke. Ruger repaired the LCI under warranty and instructed me to keep my LC9s in a sealed pouch or case if it is to be holstered in my pocket. That is ridiculous as it is a CCW. I sent the S&W Shield back to S&W and they said that the shield is not a pocket pistol and should never be used in conditions where it may or could get dirty. Both Ruger and S&W acknowledged "possible issues associated with the LCI," but other than installing new and the same LCIs offered no fix or remedy to resolve these serious safety defects.

I like the pistols and the manufacturers, but the LCI needs to disappear. I would like to remove the LCIs from both pistols, but I do not want to leave a massive open slot on the top of the slide nor do I want to modify a firearm factory safey feature (i.e. grinding as discussed in other posts).

I would like purchase filler plates for both the Ruger LC9s and S&W M&P Shield 9mm to fill the slot currently occupied by the LCI. The other option is to purchase new slides which do not have the integrated LCI.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Pleas let me know who I can contact to purchase the LCI filler plates and / complete slides without the LCI.

Thank you in advance for your time and help. Please have a great weekend and I look forward to your replies.

Cheers,
Rob
